These values are fundamental to human dignity: freedom, privacy, fairness, equality and having a voice. They are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

Constitution Cards are designed to promote awareness of the source of basic American values, to provide a handy reference to our founding document, and to encourage discussion of civics in classroom settings and beyond. The business card-sized cards are available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin.

They were created by a group of old high school classmates from across the country—Massachusetts, Maine, New York, Louisiana, California and Colorado—who reunited after decades and dedicated themselves to making the Constitution accessible to citizens and non-citizens alike.
